“From their mountain, I had a clear view of sunrise. In my small house (one of four), at the foot of my bed, I had a picture window into the woods and the setting sun and moon. I was so happy! The smell of fireplaces was in the air. The home was picture-perfect in everything I needed to be comfortable and up-to-date. I could live in this house! The friendly, helpful hosts greeted me upon arrival. I should have taken advantage of the wellness amenities--meals, yoga, sound bath. I hope to return...

“This is a great house with a great feel. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Lots of room for everyone! We enjoyed the pool table. Nice big dining room table that fit everyone. Would definitely recommend this house! ”

“Staff was very nice and helpful. Rooms were nice but dated. Really not a bad place to stay. The only complaints were that the washing machines were broken so we couldn't do laundry (we're hiking the AT/Long Trail and very dirty clothes) and the breakfast was disappointing (looking forward to a hot breakfast but they only offer a granola bar, fruit cup and juice in a brown bag) but it was ok for us. Another plus is a Wal-mart, Price Chopper, Starbucks, and restaurants very close for resupply...

“The New Englander Inn was in transition from being a Quality Inn to, I'm guessing, an independent motel. Our room was a suite, and was comfortable. The pool was closed. The ice machine was "Out of Order." there was only one for the whole complex. Our fridge would not open and shut properly, but was fixed right away. Our microwave had to be replaced since it sounded as though it was going to explode. The overhead light fixture in the hallway was filled with dead bugs. I think they are on the...

“Nice quite place to stay the night. No second floor, so there was no chance of being disturbed by people walking above you. Clean room, including the bathroom. I liked that it had a mini fridge so we could put food in it that we brought with us. There was also a separate freezer where I refroze my ice packs over night. Very handy. I didn't have any food to reheat, but if I had, the microwave would have come in handy. I did use the coffee pot for coffee in the morning. I took off a star...

“It was very clean, very very cute, you don’t have direct view of the lake from the porch but there’s a super cute little pond and the lake is a ten second walk from the cabin. If you’re worried about the AC don’t be, it works incredibly well and never gave us any issues!”
